The Tricorn

A portrait of a futuristic concrete experiment of a shopping centre built in the coastal town of Portsmouth in the 1960s.

The Tricorn was awarded for its unique design on completion but the building never fulfilled it's intended potential. More recently voted the ugliest building in Europe, the department stores closed down and The Tricorn stood derelict for many years.

The film follows local artists who connected with the space and took inspiration from the building, as a demolition date loomed.
